What is Therapy?
Therapy is simply sitting down and talking about yourself or your relationship with a trained professional in a confidential and non-judgmental environment. When you come in for your first appointment, you will be seen by a therapist who will ask questions about you, your relationships, and your hopes for therapy. You will be in a safe space and with an emotional ally as you move to engage the work. Sessions usually lasts about 50 minutes.

Common Issues |
LGBT*QIA+ Competency |
For some people, therapy is the beginning of a transformation for their lives and relationships; for others it can help them solve a specific issue and move forward with more confidence and less anxiety. Therapy may help you to see things in a different way or help make a decision that moves you forward.

All relationship problems are as unique as the people that are in them, but there are some issues that we see over and over again in some form. Here is a list of some things our therapists deal with commonly. Please keep in mind that even if your issue isn't listed here, our therapists have likely held space for it before and are available to you.

All of our therapists are experienced working within LGBT*QIA+ relationships, and will listen respectfully and with competence. Cedar Hill provides a safe space with therapists knowledgeable about LGBT*QIA+ identity and experience.
