Trans and Gender Identity
Person Centered Care That Supports You
Being comfortable in your body can be difficult when you don't identify with the gender assigned to you at birth. Whether you've already begun transitioning, or are beginning to explore your relationship with gender identity, we are happy to help. Cedar Hill therapists work to create a safe environment for you to explore your identity and will support you through your individual journey.
Our therapists work with adults, adolescents, children and their families using the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care.
While we cannot offer medical transition services on site, we are happy to help coordinate with medical providers if they have any requirements regarding mental health care before they will provide medical transition services. Cedar Hill therapists have extensive experience working with transgender and non-binary clients and community.
At Cedar Hill, we believe that everyone has a right to control their own body, and we therefore practice using an Informed Consent model. Our goal is to reduce barriers that clients often face in pursuing their identity.
